In 2014 the company donated £1 million to the world-class, accessible-to-all ASV Aquatics Centre, one of only two Olympic standard facilities in Scotland.
The financial support not only enabled the project to go ahead, but also ensured the Centre encompassed all of the proposed facilities, including underwater cameras and moveable flooring.
It’s due to these state of the art facilities, that ASV was chosen to host the Commonwealth Waterpolo Championships in April 2014, which was closely followed by the Scottish Gas National Open Masters Championship. Without Saltire Energy’s funding, competitions of this calibre wouldn’t be possible.
The complex doesn’t just benefit renowned athletes, but also members of the local and student communities who utilise the facility.
